Persuasion and AI Disclosure: Building Trust in Synthetic Media
This workshop is a full-day preconference event organized as part of the 20th International Conference on Persuasive Technology which will be hosted in Limassol, Cyprus, St. Raphael Resort and Marina, May 5-7 2025. The workshop date is May 5th, 2025.
This workshop aims to examine the intersection of AI disclosure practices and persuasive communication, with particular attention to how different disclosure approaches might influence audience reception and trust. By bringing together scholars from communication, psychology, ethics, and computer science studies, we seek to develop evidence-based frameworks for understanding and implementing effective disclosure practices that promote transparency while maintaining the beneficial applications of synthetic media technologies.
